The Omaha Pipes and Drums is an all-volunteer band registered as a 501.C3 teaching organization. The Band has been providing FREE highland bagpipe and drumming lessons since 1970.  Personalized lessons are offered Saturdays beginning at 8:00 (check our online calendar) at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church - 84th and Pacific Streets - with Band rehearsal following.  Feel free to browse through this website and stop in and visit us any time.

Monday, September 1 - Hoo-Doo Days Parade, Neola IA
No small town celebration is more infamous than Hoo-Doo Days in Neola.  Labor Day weekend events include a teen street dance Saturday night, lawn mower tractor pulls on Sunday and a street dance for adults featuring the "Fork in the Road" band.  The parade on Monday starts at 11 AM and is followed by midway rides, tractor pulls and a car show.  For your refreshment food and beer stands are available. 


Sunday, September 7th - Holy Cross Irish Festival
The Band will be performing at the 6th Annual Holy Cross Irish Festival, 48th & Woolworth Ave., Omaha at 1 and 3 PM.  Holy Cross, located in the heart of Omaha's largest Irish Community, has long been known for its rich Irish tradition.  Advanced tickets are $10 (day of show $15).

Saturday, September 20th - Greeley Irish Festival, Greeley NE
The 8th Annual Greeley Irish Festival in Greeley, NE features vendors and performers throughout the day including the Omaha Pipes and Drums, The Elders, The Young Wolfe Tones, Barleyjuice, and the Doud's Irish Dance Academy.  Tickets are $20 and the event runs rain or shine.

Saturday, September 27th - McPherson Scottish Festival and Highland Games, McPherson KS
The Omaha Pipes and Drums (three time winner of the Band of the Day) will be the featured Band for the festival on Saturday.  The Heavy Games are some of the best in North America where many records have been set and broken.
